Home Alone

Well I guess it's about time I posted again.
Where does the time go??
I've been busy today, I drew out 6 new patterns, some are for Spring and 2 are kinda all season.
Now just to get them sewn up, and see how they work.
I'm going away on Friday for the weekend, I am so excited!!
I'm leaving my almost 16 year old son home alone, a little nervous about that LOL  He's a good kid, and pretty responsible.  Might have to phone home and make sure he feeds the fish and the dogs.  Funny how they never forget to feed themselves.  My parents live just 10 minutes away if he has any problems.
My husband works away from home, usually Fort MacMurray, but this month he's working in Jasper Alberta.  It's about 6 1/2 hours from here, so I'm going to spend a much needed weekend alone with him,  what the heck the hotel is payed for :)  and they have a QUILT store.
I'm going to take my punch needle with me to work on.  Have to finish my Valentines swap items.
I had my first real sale online this week!  I was pretty stoked about that.  I have been busy making little ornies from a pattern I found online.  A snowman, a gingy, and ragedy anne.  I think I got carried away and made 60 of them if not a few more.

Pay it forward

I have 3 spots left on my blog for the pay it forward.
I have run this on my Facebook, and on a quilting site I belong to, so when this is all said and done i should have 15 people at least to pay it forward.
I have a special reason I like PIF when my son was 5 he got very sick with Scarlet Fever
I was a single parent working as a Special Needs Worker and finances where tight.
My poor son was covered in a rash from head to toe, he had what is known as strawberry tongue, where all your taste buds are inflamed. He couldn't drink his mouth hurt so bad, we almost lost him, it was really scary. Anyways my house manager found out about my son and bought him his antibiotics, I promised to pay her back on payday, and this is what she said " do something nice for someone else, and you have payed me back". So from that day on I have tried to do nice things for people. I will never forget what she did for me that day.
I am now married, and my son is 16 and happy and healthy. I am still a Special Needs Worker and life is wonderful.
So come on and sign up and let me do something nice for you.
It's snowing like crazy here, I feel like calling in and having a snow day lol. I don't think they would fall for it tho.

I ordered a couple of pins from Michelle Palmer the other day, and they arrived today in the mail.
They are amazing hand drawn fabric art pins. She is amazingly talented. If you don't follow her blog you should. michellepalmerart.blogspot.ca.

I got a parcel in the mail today !!!!
It was from Black Berry Crow Primitives
I had so much fun opening all the little packages inside.
I had no idea pepperidge farms made ginger man cookies. I'm pretty sure you can't buy them in Canada. Mmmmmm are they ever good.
I can't wait till next Christmas to decorate with all my goodies. Until then tho, I'm not putting them away.

Gingerbread swap

I received a wonderful smelling package, from Amy of Bumblebee lane.
It was full of wonderful surprises, even my 15 year old son couldn't get past the wonderful aroma coming from the box.
There was a cute little snowman, and tree wrapped in star wire, gingerbread tarts, and a wonderful wool purse, with a crow and stars on it, and the wonderful smell was raspberry lemonade soap. The last thing to open was the card, it said open last. In it was the cutest necklace with a skate on it and the back was the dictionary write up a skate.
